The 61st Tun Abdul Razak Cup Hockey Tournament was held from 11 October to 21 October 2023 at the Bukit Jalil National Hockey Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
The Pahang State Hockey Team through the Pahang Hockey Association participated in the tournament and a total of 5 officials and 18 players were selected to represent the state of Pahang. The players selected are senior players and youth players in preparation for the 2024 Malaysian Games (SUKMA) in Sarawak.
Before the tournament started, the team did training and a series of test matches in Kuala Lumpur and Melaka to evaluate the performance of the players and find compatibility and test the coach’s tactics and planning.
A total of 13 teams participated and the Pahang team was drawn in group B together with the Melaka, Perlis, Pulau Pinang, PDRM, Kedah and Selangor teams.
The Pahang team has become the champion of Group B and has qualified for the semi-finals, but in the semi-finals the Pahang team has lost to the Kuala Lumpur team.
